I’m an aspiring Computer Engineer who is passionate about bringing people together through the use of technology. I love connecting with people and helping them along the way. I've been fascinated by computers my whole life and even more so when I built my own this past summer. I enjoy learning how things work at their most fundamental level and then using this knowledge to create new and more innovative things.

 

 

A big part of my sense of community and family has come from Disney. Growing up going to Disney, I was instilled with the desire to share memories with those that I love. I learned to chase my dreams "to infinity and beyond", to "just keep swimming" when times get hard, that family is forever, and to believe in people. That's why my dream job is to be an Imagineer; I want to give back to the company that has given me so much.

My favorite color (and the best color) is orange. I wrote an entire essay about why I love orange and how this represents who I am. There's a reason that the color scheme of this site involves orange.

In terms of hobbies I enjoy playing video games. The game I’m currently playing a lot of is Age of Empires 2. It’s a high intensity medieval RTS, having to manage both your economy and military at the same time. The game that's had the biggest impact on my life is Minecraft. Growing up, I played a lot with my brother. Back in the good old days we only had one xbox remote and had to take turns watching each other. Minecraft has fostered my internal creativity and sense of community.

A secret goal of mine has been to create my own video game. I’m going to be teaching myself C++ this winter and work with Unity to start to achieve this. As of now, I don't want to have my career in game dev, but it would be a passion project that I would enjoy working on.

I also love running. Running is how I decompress and relax from the stressors of life. It gives me time to ponder my life and think through problems. Nothing beats the feeling of finishing a good run.

My favorite band is Imagine Dragons, although recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Bastille. A song that I’ve recently listened to that really hit home is “No Angels”.

My favorite season is the fall because I love cozy campfires and snuggling under blankets while sipping on warm coffee.
